Surfboard and Wetsuit Hire / Rentals
We have over 50 surfboards to choose from for beginner to high performance. So whether you surf already and just need a surfboard or you’re wanting to practice between lessons we have the surfboard for you.
Surfboard and wetsuit hire / rental is included free in all our lessons.
Surfboard hire $25 / 3 hrs
Surfboard and wetsuits hire $35 / 3 hrs
- Extra Wetsuits $10 / 3 hrs
Wetsuit only $25 / 3 hrs

Looking to hire before or after work ?
Our Surf Locker service is for you.
An automated self service surfboard and wetsuit rental system. Simply order your gear online and then get sent a code to open the locker with the surfboard inside.
We’ll be adding more locations over the summer.
Soft Boards
The majority of our surfboards are soft G Boards, hand made near Bells Beach, Australia. These boards are the best beginner surfboard on the market, soft but strong and they actually surf really well.
Sizes 8’ thru to 9’6’’
Hard Boards
We have about 10 epoxy fibreglass surfboards for more experienced surfers. We have the NSP and the new TORQ brands. We have fishes, fun boards, mini mals and longboards to suit any wave and rider.
Sizes 6’ to 9’2’’
Wetsuits
We like to use a mix of Seventhwave, C Skins and Xcel wetsuits.
They’re all made from limestone neoprene which has a lower environmental impact than oil based neoprene plus its warmer and more durable.
Seventhwave, They’re warm, comfortable and made right here in Christchurch.
We also have a selection of short sleeve 2mm suits for the warmer months.
During the colder months we have a small selection of 4/3 mm wetsuits, booties, hoods, kidney belts and gloves to get you surfing all year round.
